This was the second commission by George Bause for the Freud/Einstein show. This was a formidible challenge for me given the unique features of Freud. Freud's face in later years was not semetrical due to disease.
I chose to include the glasses in the design primarily because it was an interesting challenge and I have rarely seen a marble sculpture with them. It added a great deal of difficulty to the design and I enjoyed the process of solving this problem.
